Part of the fun of using a media player such as the iPod Touch is customizing the device so that it reflects your personality. You can use photos to customize your iPod’s background, also called the wallpaper. You can choose a picture already saved on your iPod Touch, a photo that you just snapped or a picture that you save from a Web page, email or text message.
Tap “Settings” on the home screen and select “Brightness and Wallpaper.”
Click the arrow icon within the “Wallpaper” section next to the replicas of the current lock screen and home screen to display your photo albums and an album called “Wallpaper” that contains preloaded background images.
Tap the desired album and tap the photo you want to use as your background. The iPod displays the selected picture on the “Move and Scale” screen.
Pinch the picture inwards or outwards with two fingers to scale it to the desired proportions. Click “Set.”
Select “Set Home Screen” to make the image the background for the home screen. Alternatively, tap “Set Lock Screen” to make the picture the background for the lock screen or tap “Set Both” to make it the background on both the home and lock screens.Photo From Email, Text or Website
Tap a picture in an email to download it and tap “Save Image.” Tap a picture in a text message conversation. Tap the arrow icon and select “Save to Camera Roll.” To save a photo from a Web page, tap and hold the photo and then tap “Save Image.” The iPod automatically saves photos that you download from a Web page or email to the Camera Roll album.
Press the “Home” button and tap “Photos” on the home screen. Tap “Camera Roll” and then tap the photo you saved in the Camera Roll album.
Tap the arrow icon in the corner of the photo, select “Use as Wallpaper” and tap “Set.” If you do not see the arrow icon, tap anywhere on the photo.
Tap “Set Home Screen” to make the image the background for the home screen. Alternatively, tap “Set Lock Screen” to make the picture the background for the lock screen or tap “Set Both” to make it the background on both the home and lock screens.From the Camera.
Tap “Camera” on the home screen and take a photo.
Tap the thumbnail of the photo you took that appears at the corner of the camera window.
Tap the arrow icon, select “Use as Wallpaper” and tap “Set.” If you do not see the arrow icon, tap anywhere on the photo.
Tap “Edit” on a photo when viewing it in full screen to make changes before setting the photo as you wallpaper. Tap the desired editing tool, such as “Auto-Enhance” or “Crop.” Click “Save” when finished editing.Warnings
