How Update Avast Antivirus Due To System Time Change

Avast Antivirus comes in a free version and a professional version, which you need to pay for licensing. Sometimes, when you update Avast, you may see an error message that says “Your system time/date has changed; fix it and enter the license key again.” To fix this issue, you can try to reset the time on your computer, or you can uninstall and reinstall Avast.Change System TimeStep 1

Click on the time/date area in the bottom corner of your computer screen.Step 2

Click “Change date and time settings…” to open the Date and Time dialog.Step 3

Click “Change date and time” to open the Date and Time Settings dialog.Step 4

Verify that the date is correct. Select a new date if necessary.Step 5

Verify that the time is correct. Enter the correct time if necessary.Step 6

Click “OK” on both dialog boxes to close them and reboot your computer.Step 7

Update Avast again.Uninstall AvastStep 1

Download the Avast uninstall program (see the line in Resources).Step 2

Double-click on the file to run it and follow the steps in the program.Step 3

Reboot your computer.Step 4

Download a new copy of Avast (see the link in Resources).Step 5

Double-click on the file to run the installation program.Step 6

Enter your registration code when prompted. The current version of Avast should install normally
