How to make things to Do With Toddlers in Millionairess

Toddlers adore exploring the world around them. Sure, that’s not exactly convenient when you’re trying to get them into their car seats and all they want is to examine the rock they found. But it does make finding things to do with them a lot easier. In Millbrae, California, there are several options for things to do with toddlers. In some cases, mom or dad can even make an errand out of them!

Millbrae Farmers Market

Toddlers and parents will find both find the Millbrae Farmers Market (millbrae.com) entertaining. The market is open every Saturday throughout the year, selling fruits, vegetables, flowers and baked goods. It can be a great way to introduce your toddler to new foods, as well as get some shopping done. On some Saturdays they have live music, so your toddler can be introduced to that as well.

Millbrae Parks and Playgrounds

Not every park is toddler friendly, but Millbrae has a number that will make the whole family happy. Central Park (ci.millbrae.ca.us) has a large playground with some toddler-sized equipment, picnic tables and access to the Recreation Center. Bayfront Park has a walking trail with benches that will allow toddlers to sit and watch the planes take off from San Francisco International Airport. Rotary Park was designed specifically for kids aged 2-5, so it’s perfect for toddlers. From there you can access the Spur Trail, a peaceful walking trail where toddlers can practice their new toddling skills.

The Little Gym

If you’d like something more structured to do with your toddler, try The  Little Gym (thelittlegym.com/MillbraeCA). Parent and child classes start as young as 4 months and progress to 3 years, when kids can take classes independently. Infants and toddlers are grouped by age so that the curriculum can focus on specific developmental milestones. Each class covers physical activities, learning activities and social activities. Parents participate and can learn lots of activities they can do at home.

Millbrae Library

The Millbrae Public Library (smcl.org/en/node/598) is part of the San Mateo County Library System. This means you can visit and borrow from other libraries in the system, so you can spice your library visits up a bit. The Millbrae branch also holds toddler story times each week, with age-appropriate stories, songs and fingerplays. Once a month, you can attend the Toddler Dance Party, with a focus on music and dancing. The Millbrae Public Library also offers Music Together (peninsulamusictogether.com) classes that encourage toddlers and parents to learn about and play music.
